Baraquiel Sanchez is the head chef, and owner of Ponche Taqueria. Arriving in New York at just 13 years old, he was soon inspired to have his own restaurant. He was mentored by immigrants who also shared the same dream and determination. He always told himself that he wanted to be with the top restaurants of Hell’s Kitchen and never lost sight of that dream, which has become a reality. Ponche taqueria was #3 in Best Places To Eat in 2021, and has been featured on CNN.
