Reyna Robles, born and raised in the bodegas of her parents' wholesale business, is now a proud import vendor and entrepreneur. Reyna's journey has been defined by a deep connection to Mexican culture and a passion for sharing its flavors with her community.

Reyna's journey began in the expansive warehouse retail and wholesale spaces of her parents, who are from Chinantla and Tehuitzingo, Puebla, where she learned the ins and outs of the business from a young age. "Desde niña en la gran bodega de mis papas," she reminisces, "acá es mi primer tienda que irá en la 5ta ave Brooklyn NY."

At La Mexicana Mercado, Reyna takes pride in offering a wide range of authentic Mexican products that you won't find elsewhere. "¡QUE NO VENDEMOS!" she exclaims, listing off an array of Mexican delights: tamales, gorditas de frijol, tortas al gusto, tacos placeros, elotes para preparar pozole, aguas frescas, micheladas on the go, and much more.

However, after the challenges brought on by the pandemic, Reyna made the bold decision to relocate La Mexicana Mercado to East Harlem, where it has found a new home and a welcoming community.

For Reyna, La Mexicana Mercado is more than just a business; it's a tribute to her heritage and a labor of love inspired by her parents.

Now located at 2347 2nd Avenue in New York City, La Mexicana Mercado continues to be a beacon of the Mexican community in East Harlem, thanks to Reyna's dedication to sharing the offerings of Mexico with the community.
